What is an Ad?
Owned by an Ad Group. In combination with a Creative, the Ad is what actually shows up on the page / in the feed. It’s what the consumer interacts with. Can set limits on impressions and clicks.
Creating an Ad
Attributes
- Name: A descriptor for the Ad.
- ID: A unique identifier for the Ad generated randomly on creation.
- Media: Displays associated images.
- Advertiser: The name of the Advertiser which the Ad belongs to or has an association with.
- Campaign: The name of the Campaign which the Ad belongs to or has an association with.
- Ad Group: The name of the Ad Group to which the Ad belongs to or has an association with.
- Boost: A numeric value to represent a boost level for an Ad to increase the likelihood of the Ad to be viewed.
- Impression Limit: A numeric value to represent the impression limit for the Ad.
- Click Limit: A numeric value to represent the click limit for the Ad.
- Cost Per Click: A numeric value to represent the cost per click value for the Ad.
- Override Ad CPM: A numeric value to represent the CPM (Cost Per Mille) override value.
- Choose Creative: A dropdown to select a Creative to be assigned to the Ad or a button to create a new creative.
- Postback Pixels: This can accept up to 3 postback pixel URLs.
- Key-Value: Creates a Key Value pair associated to the Ad.
- Enabled: A boolean value that indicates if the Ad is enabled or not.
Actions
- Edit: Links to a page which allows for editing, modification, addition and removal of the attributes listed above.
- Visit: Redirects to the target URL of the selected creative.
- Open Conversion Tracking: Opens a popup that displays options for Ad usage with both Postback (server to server) or Browser Pixel options.
- Transaction Logs: Links to a page that displays logs related Ad events.
- Archive: Removes the Ad.
